Stone Mountain (Difficult)

Stone Mountain is the highest point in the DuPont State Recreational Forest at 3,620 feet. This lightly trafficked hike is a strenuous 5-mile out-and-back trail located at the top corner of the forest. Elevation gain on this hike is 1100 feet. The summit of this hike allows for 180 degree views in the spring and summer, and 360 degree views in the fall and winter. This trail has a drive time of 25 minutes.
