Baked Apples

Servings:  4 

Skill Level:  Beginner

Total Time:  20 minutes

 

Ingredients:

4 each Apples, local, core removed

4 each Cinnamon sticks

4 T. Maple syrup, 100% pure

1 ¼ T. Unsalted butter

 

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Remove core from apple using coring device.  Leave ¼ of the apple in tact at the bottom.
  • Slice off the top of the apple.
  • Place the apples in a small baking dish.
  • Insert the cinnamon stick into to hole in which the core was originally.  
  • Pour 1 T. of maple syrup on top of the apple to coat – some can pour into the middle of the apple.
  • Add ¼ T. of butter inside each of the apple (next to the cinnamon stick).
  1. Bake 12-15 minutes until tender.  Enjoy!
