Ingredients
- 3 cups Rolled oats
- 2 cups Water
- 6-8 oz. Decaf or regular coffee
- 1 T. Cocoa powder, add more if desired
- 4 each Medjool dates
- ¾ tsp. Vanilla extract
- to taste Ice cubes, optional
Instructions
- Prepare coffee and set aside. You can use chilled coffee if desired.
- Add rolled oats to a food processor and pulse until it becomes oat flour, 25-30 seconds.
- Add 1 cup of the oat flour to a blender with 2 cups of water. Set any remaining oat flour to the side and save for other uses. Blend flour and water for 10-15 seconds.
- Strain the oatmeal using a fine mesh strainer. Discard or save the meal for pancakes.
- Add oat milk back to the blender with coffee, cocoa powder, dates, and vanilla extract. Blend on high for 5-10 seconds then low for additional 5-10 seconds so you know the dates have been pureed into the mixture. Blend until everything is combined.
- Add ice to a glass and pour mixture over ice cubes. You can enjoy this hot by taking prepared oat milk mocha and heating in a pot over medium heat. Enjoy!
