Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Turkey, ground
- 4 each Garlic cloves
- 2 each Eggs, beaten
- 2 each Shallots
- 1 each Red bell pepper, small
- 4 each Bread slices, broken into large pieces (whole grain, sourdough or seeded)
- 1 T. Black pepper, ground
- 6-10 each Baby bella mushrooms
- 1 T. Garlic powder
- 1 tsp. Onion powder
- 1 T. Salt
- 2 tsp. Thyme, ground
- 2 T. Oregano, dried
- 2 T. Sage, ground
- ¼ cup Milk, milk of choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Place broken up pieces of bread into a food processor and turn on/pulse until the large pieces become breadcrumbs. This should take about 1 minute. Place in large mixing bowl.
- Add garlic, shallots, bell pepper and mushrooms to the food processor and pulse until everything is a small mince.
- Combine all ingredients into the large mixing bowl.
- Mix all ingredients until everything is well combined.
- Press mixture tightly into a greased and lined loaf pan.
- Place pan in the oven and cook until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees, about 1½ hours and uncovered.
- Allow meatloaf to rest at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
- Feel free to sear slices of meatloaf in a sauté pan for extra browning. Enjoy with your favorite sauce or as is.
